About this template
Overview
Keirin is the accreditation, session and race-programme record of a velodrome — the authority that decides who is allowed on the banking, at what grade, and can prove it. Ikebukuro Bay Arena is a 250 m indoor timber track with 42° bends, 6,214 spruce boards and 1,180 accredited riders, and this is the file that governs every one of them.
It is not a booking widget and not a gym-membership app. It is the governing record, drawn in the idiom of Showa-era Japanese keirin race-card printing and 1960s screen-printed sports posters — newsprint grey stock, sumi-black impact ink, ultra-condensed display numerals at poster scale, hard-edged ink plates with no rounded corner anywhere, chevron speed-stripe dividers, a drawn banked oval with the sprinter's, stayers', pursuit and measurement lines labelled, and one vermilion held for the thing that matters.
What it holds
- Accreditation register — every rider by grade across the seven steps (Taster, Foundation, Accreditation 1-4, Elite), the assessment that awarded it, the assessor, the date, the expiry and the re-assessment due.
- Session calendar — track sessions by grade entitlement, capacity and coach on duty, against a grade-entitlement matrix that says who may ride what.
- Race programme — scratch, points, elimination, keirin and madison across the league, with heats, start sheets and results.
- Commissaires and officials — the panel, licence category, appointments per meeting and the rota.
- Fleet — hire track bikes by frame size and gear inches, gearing restrictions per grade, service history and tyre-pressure log.
- Track certification and surface — UCI homologation class, surface inspection record, splinter and board-fixing log, temperature and humidity.
- Timing and standards — flying 200 m, kilo and 3 km pursuit standards per grade, with riders' personal bests set against the qualifying time.
- Incidents — the crash and medical log, with banking position, cause and outcome.
- Membership and hire billing.
- Rider portal and track-manager dashboard — a rider sees their grade and expiry, the sessions they may book, their bests against the grade standard, their hire and their incidents; a manager sees session occupancy, accreditations expiring, commissaire rota gaps, fleet service due and surface inspection status.
Who it is for
Velodromes and indoor tracks, national and regional cycling federations, motorsport and ski-racing licensing bodies, climbing walls and any facility whose core obligation is to grade people, entitle them to sessions, and defend that decision afterwards.
Make it yours
Swap the arena, the grades and the disciplines; re-cut the entitlement matrix; change the standards table to your own qualifying times. Re-point the drawn oval at your own geometry. The ink and the authority survive the swap.
