Inviting team members

Workspace admins invite teammates by email from the Team members page. Here's how, and what sharing a link does and doesn't do.

Looking for an invite code — to get into Overskill, skip the waitlist, or share invites with friends? That's a different feature: see Invite codes and referral links.

You can invite people into your workspace so they can build with you. Invites go out by email, and anyone who accepts can work on the workspace's apps.

How to invite someone

  1. Open the account menu and click Invite teammates (or Team members).
  2. Enter your teammate's email address.
  3. Pick a role: Member or Admin. Admins can also invite people and manage the team.
  4. Send the invite. They join once they accept it from their email.

You can also invite from inside an app: click the Invite collaborators button (the person-with-a-plus icon in the editor's top bar). Normally, anyone you invite there joins the whole workspace and can open every app in it. If an admin has turned on team sharing on the Team members page, that button can give someone access to just that one app instead.

Only workspace admins see the invite form. If you don't see it, ask an admin on your team to invite the person or to make you an admin.

Sending someone your app's editor link doesn't give them editing access. They need to be invited into the workspace first.

Other ways to share

These let people see or use the app without joining your workspace:

  • Preview link — share a working development preview after the first deploy.
  • Live app link — share the published app URL with customers, testers, or teammates.
  • Visibility settings — choose whether visitors can open the app publicly, need to log in, need to pay, or must use an approved email domain.
  • App-user roles — for people who use the app you built. These are separate from editing access in Overskill.
