About this template

The Clerk to the Trustees' record of an endowed almshouse charity founded in 1691, housing forty-eight dwellings of sheltered accommodation. Every application received, every applicant qualified against the scheme, every dwelling allocated, the weekly contribution each resident makes, the repairs undertaken upon the fabric, the welfare visits made, the safeguarding concerns raised, and the application of the endowment's income — all under the trustees' hand and open to inspection at each board.
