Sending email from your own custom domain

To send from your own address (like [email protected]), connect Resend, SendGrid or Postmark with your own account and verify your domain with them.

Every Overskill app can send transactional email out of the box, with no setup. If you want that email to come from your own address (like [email protected] instead of the shared Overskill sender), you connect an email provider with your own account: Resend, SendGrid or Postmark.

What works today, with no setup

Every app sends transactional email (signup confirmations, order receipts, notifications, weekly summaries) from a shared Overskill sender address right away. There's no account to create, and it's capped at 100 emails a day per workspace. See Sending emails from your app.

Sending from your own address

  1. Create an account with the provider (Resend, SendGrid or Postmark) and verify your domain there. They show you a few DNS records to add where you bought your domain.
  2. Connect it to your app. Resend, SendGrid and Postmark are all in the integrations marketplace; connect yours there with your own account. Never paste a key into chat.
  3. Ask the builder to use it. In chat, for example:

Connect Resend and send order confirmations from [email protected].

The builder wires up the sending logic so your key stays on the server. You keep full control of the from-address, and your sending limits are the provider's, set by your plan with them.

This is also the right path for marketing or bulk email. Overskill's built-in sender is for transactional email only.

Which one should I use?

  • Just need transactional email fast, and the sending address doesn't matter? Use the built-in shared sender. Nothing to connect.
  • Want email to come from your own address, or need more than 100 a day? Connect Resend, SendGrid or Postmark with your own account.
  • Sending marketing or bulk email? Use one of those providers, not the built-in sender.

Connecting Stripe for payments

Overskill's option to use your own Stripe account instead of the built-in checkout is switched on for only a small number of accounts, and support can't turn it on for yours. Use the built-in checkout.

Send app optins to ClickFunnels

ClickFunnels is built into every Overskill app — connect once from your app's chat and your opt-in forms push contacts, tags, and course enrollments straight into your workspace. No webhook, no API key, no environment variables.

Why was my email sending paused or throttled?

Every email sending limit, throttle, hold, and pause explained in plain language — what triggered it, and exactly how to fix each one.
